The Temptation and Value of Friends
Beware of bad friends, for they are a great temptation for you. How many righteous people have strayed from the path because of the company of the misguided? And how many sinners have repented to God because of the company of the virtuous? A good friend is the best companion and helper in obeying God. With him, you feel comfort, happiness, and security. You confide in him about what saddens you, and he comforts your heart, consoles you, and alleviates your sorrows. You find him the best support in calamities and difficult situations. So do not neglect his companionship and loyalty to him. Love him for the sake of God, so that God may shade you with His shade on the Day when there is no shade but His.
